This paean of praise for Stewart is overdone. I can see why Cameron didn't want him, in the party - not only was he once an admirer of Blair (and a Labour party member for a time? ) but he comes over as an Etonian oddball , a bit of a fruitcake ,a bit ex-colonial in his attitudes. You wouldn't trust him to stick to a line .with a shiftiness which may suggest an MI6 background. All surmise but -not a team player I suspect , though harmless enough.

When my nephew became a teenager he started listening to very, very poor rap music. I was knee-deep in SOAD (Toxicity was just out) and I took my nephew on a ride and put the album on. One hour later he was the biggest fan. Fifteen years later he followed the band worldwide and never listened to bad rap again. Result! Good music, great lyrics and, I agree, absolute nutters, the lot of them 😜
